serial # 1846. Monitor indicates fuel level is empty regardless of actual fuel level. Current actual level is about 3/4 full. Voltage from monitor at fuel sending unit is 5v when disconnected from sending unit and 1.9v when connected. I do not know what the voltage range should be from the monitor or the impedance of the sending unit as fuel is added or used.
You should remove the fuel level sensor and swing it up and down to measure the resistance change to determine if the sensor is damaged.
