Hey all we have a pc220-5 and ever since we changed a few hoses its been making a whine noise when we try use the boom and or walk. We have a resonable level of oil in it and we dunno whats wrong with it please help. Could there be air in there somewhere if so how we get it out or is the pump on its way out we are out of options thanks.
??????
What hoses? Are they clean?
Check the suction strainer(s) ?
If the noise only happened after you changed the hoses, do you think you might want to recheck what you did?
We blew through the hose with air compressor and there was nothing in there when we checked and it was a hi pressure hose that goea from the pump. Where is the suction strainer thanks and how to check it. And if everything else doesnt work ill pull the hoses off and try again thanks but let me know how to check suction strainer thanks
Suction strainer is in the hyd tank, pull the bolt on plate off the top and the strainer will pull out (and spill bloody oil everywhere....)
Did you bleed the pumps? Being the main pressure line from your pump it may cause air to get in and stay in there causing aeration.
Ok will look at the suction and how do we bleed the system thanks
Hey all its made itself better haha must of had air in it but now its bogging right down to almost stalling when we try walk or dig with the machine it sounds like its running out of fuel were changing fuel filter tomorrow anything else to change??
Ours is pretty bad for blocking air filters if you are in dusty conditions, the result was something like what you are talking about. steve
If the fuel filters don't clear it up you will have to systematically check the system. Start by Checking that the fuel cap is venting properly. Then remove the line from the bottom of the tank. Blow air into the tank to make sure there is no debris blocking fuel leaving the tank. If that doesn't clear it work back line by line blowing air in them. Also the fuel filter housings may have screens in them behind the banjo bolts. These sometimes clog. Once you are confident fuel can freely reach the lift and injection pump also clear your return lines. Hopefully the clears it up for you!!
Which high pressure hose going from the pump? Was it the main supply to the control valve or one of pair of small hoses?
Hey all we fix one problem now theirs another so please help us out when we go to walk or dig the excavator bogs down to the point it almost stalls we think it might be fuel problem but unsure please help we have changed fuel filter blew threw the fuel line from the tank ran it with out air filter last time this happend we changed the air filters and it fixed it but we dont know now so please help thanks marshy
