Hi,hoping someone can help. I have a poclain 75 ckb 1983 excavator. It has sunk one side on soft ground & is leaning sharply to one side.one track is sunk, the other track is on level solid ground. The digger arm is pointing downwards & the rear (hydraulic pump side) is pointing upwards. When it sunk, the hydraulics stopped, the tank level was low, topped tank to full. But the hyraulics wont work. Has it got a air lock in the Hydraulics? or been told there is a solenoid valve relieving the hyd pressure to tank? If solenoid valve, does anyone know where it is located. Any help is good help.
Get it moving yet? Sounds fun. Not familiar with that model, but there may be solenoids' attached around main valve bank, one of them may be to do with your safety lock out if you have one, might be worth checking your connections to that and making sure it's not oily etc. in the contacts. Put test gauges on, you can see what you've got on the pilot circuit. Then put on pump circuit if pilots ok. You think it grabbed air, it was that low?
Hi,the oil was very low.Haven't had time to investigate further yet, might try sunday,if weather is okay. Will place some photos on soon. Thanks
The latest,is? Removed main hydraulic hose from tank to pump,a little dribble of oil coming out,not enough for the pump. But the tank is full of oil. There is a round disc which is spring loaded under the breather,in the tank. What does this do? Will this stop the oil flowing from the tank?
Trying to remember. Think they had a elbow on bottom of tank which is main feed to pump, this has a rod with a round plastic end sticking through it, on inside of tank this had a round disk, this was R pinned in open position normally, was closed for changing pump filters. Is this disc you mean? In top of tank there may be a baffle to allow returning oil to spill against rather than smashing down in torrent causing foam. If your tank has that type of shutoff, check and see if the clip is there and the rod held up I think it was. That elbow that feeds oil to pump inlet, if you remove end of hose at pump and tank has any oil, normally it would flood out with force. You'd have oil behind your eyeballs.
Thanks John, This is the type of hyd tank on the machine. The level of tank is the same level as pump & is feed from the rear of tank-Bad set up. As the digger has sunk on side the rear of the tank is up high in the air,Thus no oil suppling the pump. The sight glass is showing full. The 75 is classed as max 35 degree working,60 & 90 are 52 degree. Will have to fill tank fully,to get flow to pump & once level will have to empty some oil from tank. What a pain?
Ah, yes, sounds like you've got it figured, have you now got it unstuck and back upright?
