Poclain RC200

AK Poclain-Case ยท 2014-08-21 01:24

My family had a construction business in AK for many years, getting the old equipment out, readying to move it down the road! Thought the pics would be appreciated, been sitting for twenty years in the shop and she fired right up, good 'ol Deutz engine!

Poclain is running great, everything is good except the left track won't engage, rolls, but no power. Anybody familiar with Poclains know of a solution? Thanks much

Don't know Poclain, but from a couple pictures it looks like maybe a Poclain (go figure) low speed motor and spur gear reduction. Lift that side up, try holding your hand on the hydraulic lines for that motor while someone carefully engages left travel. You should be able to hear and feel oil flow, and probably be able to tell if the motor is turning. Could be stuck pistons or bad seals in the motor, bad seals in the swivel joint, could be something broken in the gear train.

Thanks, good idea, there are four speeds on the machine, power to the tracks in the other three are fine, just in the "work" mode, no power to the left.

Is it for sale?? I'd be very interested, we had 4 of them, last one scrapped in 07, miss it. Ours would only move in "second speed". Message me please!!

AK is pretty far from Pa, freight would have been a fortune. Hope its not getting scrapped! Thanks for the reply!

Not getting scrapped! Guy that has some acreage bought all three, Oshkosh Dumptruck (I posted some pics of that as well under Other Equipment), Case 1150B Dozer and the Pocalin. Not going to use it for production, just working on his property, hope it does as well for him as it did for my family! Shipping just to the highway system (45 minute barge ride) was $2500. PA might have been a little cost-prohibitive-Ha!
