Looking at a Crawler Carrier Morooka MST 2000, it needs to have the rear iddlers replaced. Found someone selling the MST 2200 rear iddlers. Will it work on the MST 2000? Thank You
Call Dominion Equipment Parts, they can tell you if the 2200 idlers will fit the 2000. http://depparts.com/ Don't have any idea why but the rubber tracks for MST-2000 are more expensive than the 2200. You might want to call and get some track prices before making a decision to purchase the machine. Any Morooka you look at, look very closely at the trunion pivot shafts, the shaft at the top of the triangle plates that hold bottom rollers. Very common problem on Morooka undercarriage is the bearings of those shafts go down and owners/operators continue to use the machine, ends up destroying shafts and the welded tube housing the shafts go through. Can be an expensive rebuild.
Repeat after me: "Do the idlers have five holes or six holes in the wheel?" doesn't matter which you have, five or six, just have to replace them with the same. The early machines had the five hole wheels, narrower mounting and smaller bearings. Cheers, Lanway
