Hello Eveyone, I have client with a front drive rear SLHD diff with a broken input shaft. The unit has a power divider. Looking at the parts breakdown it looks like the input shaft goes thorght the front diff to the rear diff. Can i remove the power divider without removing the center carrier assembly to replace the broken input shaft? Lancer
Could you post a picture of the front diff gear case? SLHD or SQHD?
Yes--the power divider front housing can be removed to replace the input. The difference between a SL & SQ is the SL has smaller side gears, IIRC. *
