Have a 130mm x 850mm bucket pin that is worn. Has anyone heard of machine shops repairing something like this? Is it possible to build them back up by welding and then machine it back to size again? This pin looks to be about $1800 so thats why Im curious. Also if thats not an option, does anyone know a place that sells universal pins of this size? Thanks!
Rebuilding very much on the type of material it's made from. Some machines use a soft metal pin with a hard metal bush and others vice versa. Using both pin and bush of the same metal type is waisting time and money. 4140 for hard pins is OK so price a length from a steel supplier.
Beware of metal fatigue. Not worth it. Can cast a brand new one for about $210.
Provide me with 3 sizes as shown in the pictures, can cast brand new
