Road Drags / Road Maintainers and what else?

We have been building, designing, and testing our very own line of Road Runner Road Drags for over 12 years. We have since been able to Patent our design, and are ready to start marketing them on a larger Nationwide scale. Currently they are being used by townships to maintain unpaved (gravel) roads. We have never tested them in the Earthmoving / Construction Industry, but there may be a place for them!? Larger pond/lake dams, new construction or finish construction in subdivisions, new road construction, finish work on large overpass sides, ect.... The list could go on. They are a well built, well designed, and very easy to operate machine. What do you guys think of the machine, and/or what else could they be used for? Maybe roads are the only place? They do an EXCELLENT job! A little bit about them. The RD970 model (shown) are 9' working widths with 10' tailboards, 7 blades, fully adjustable tailboard, hydraulic depth control, adjustable axle for side crown, tongue cylinder for harder digging or feathering out material, LED lights, 6 bolt hubs, high speed bearing, 3/4" blades, and so on. They are level-lift, with lots of transport clearance and material flow clearance. The full weight of the machine (4000lbs) can be put on the cutting edges for extreme conditions. We manufacture the RD770 (7' working width), and the RD1170 (11' working width) in this same model. We also offer 3pt hitch models in 5', 6', 7', and 8' working widths, which are ideal of driveways, lots, lease roads, ect... So fire away, what do you guys think? Yair . . . farmbig_01 . Looks good mate. I like the road drag concept and have had a bit to do with the heavy Savannah machines. http://www.savannahequipment.com.au/road_graders/pages/An_New_Option_for_Road_Grading.html The only problem we had was with a species of clumpy grass not flowing through the blades when cutting new firebreaks. That machine is more complex and probably far more expensive than yours and I think your straight forward basic design is excellent for its intended purpose and I think would be extremely cost effective for maintaining haul roads. Best of luck with it. Cheers.

It looks like the rig the snowgroomers drag around up here to keep the trails smooth for snowmobiles.

Looks like it would do a good job maintaining haul roads as well as gravel roads.
