Hello , this is Raj from india . My company has just taken up 3 mines (stone quarries) , we are looking for excavators for the same . We have been not able to decide as to what will be the idle size for our purpose , we have looked at excavators ranging from 120-220 . The place where these mines are have only service stations of Hitachi and JCB . Since this will be our first large scale mining operation we would like to get your input in . Please be kind enough to answer the following question . 1 - We are getting a Hitachi Ex 200 , 2015 August with 4500 hours on it , at the same time we can buy a Hitachi zaxis 120 (brand new) for almost the same amount of money . This excavator would only be used with a rock breaker for breaking the rocks . Which one should we go for ? 2 - I have heard that JCB excavators are not good , is this true ? how do they stack upto hitachi ? 3 - Is a 130 size excavator good enough for breaking up rocks ? If not , then what size should we be looking at ? Please be kind enough to answer these questions .
