Rolled steel for loader bucket rebuild in CT.

Tags ยท 2014-02-25 19:24

We have a wheel loader bucket that needs to be rebuilt, the skin on the inside is shot right where it rolls from the floor to the back of the bucket. Does anyone know of a steel supplier in Connecticut that can bend/roll a sheet of steel to match the inside profile of the bucket? Thanks for the help.

If you're just looking to "cover up the holes" talk to Logan Steel in Meriden (203) 235-0811. They can bend you up some plate and have capabilities to supply and bend AR400 (just not very thick AR). If you're looking for a thicker, abraison resistant piece (or a whole floor) talk to Genalco In Springfield (413)-781-4170 or West Haven (203)-932-5991. They deal Weldox and Hardox brand steel.

Thanks, The Peej. I did call Logan this morning and they were incredibly helpful, like you. I've cut a template out of plywood and am heading there today or tomorrow. Thanks for all the help...maybe they made the plate and pins you have in your ankle...

Remember to install temporary vertical bracing in the middle of any bucket more than say two foot wide to keep the leading edge from bowing
