Sounds like shaft seal on one of the drive motors.

Is there away to test.or a valve or solenoid that could be doing this.I had the wire harness out fixing a few wires.now I put it back in and I found this.the operater said that it has been going threw hydraulic pil

If the case drain filters for the motors become clogged it will force the oil past the seals into the chain case also.

What filters and where are they at or what do they look like.this bobcat has over10, 000 hr

Welcome to HEF James Jeffers. :drinkup Look at the hose connections to the two drive motors, you'll find two large hoses (drive hoses) and one small hose (case drain) connected to each motor. Follow that small hose back into the machine and you'll run across and aluminum cylindrical cannister connected inline, that's the case drain filter, there's one for each of the two drive motors.

    Clean both filters.still the same

motor/carrier seals are already damaged if the chaincase is overfilling. 10K hours and they are bound to be leaking, unfortunately, nothing lasts forever. :drinkup

Did you find any debris in those filters? If they were clean with no debris, there's a good chance your motors are good and you only have failed motor carrier seals as crewchief stated.

as my experience, it is better to change the carrier seals (2 each side) and motor seals after 10K h. god bless you. it is a hard job.
