s300 alt fuse keeps blowing

Ive got a bobcat s300 that keeps blowing the alt and kits fuse. My question is is there a way i can check my alternator to see if it is causing the fuse to blow or not. After i changed the fuse today it was charging at about 14.4 volts then i used it for an hour or two this evening with no problem then when i went to use the lights it soon started beeping and carrying on and i discovered my fuse was blown again.

the most common problem blowing that fuse is the backup alarm switches :drinkup

well i disconnected the the alarm this evening and it seems the problem is gone, my question now is where do i look for the problem in the alarm system. is there a way to test my alarm? it is new i just put it in not long ago.

most common problem is with the BU alarm switches, raise the cab, check the RH switch, the center terminal may be contacting the steering shock body. depending on SN... if the switches arent adjusted correctly the lh switch arm may be bent and making contact with the other switch. (in earlier models, this was a common problem, not so much on later units) check the wiring connections to the alarm itself, maybe you have a wire grounding out. i'm assuming the BU alarm is working ? good luck ! :drinkup
