Can't get the starter to engage on my SE240LC-3 excavator (24 volt starter). Is there a burnt fuse somewhere? My manual hasn't arrived yet! Thanks,
I'd start with putting a test lead on the solenoid going into a multimeter or test light in the cab, and see if it's getting juice when trying to start it, then work back or forward, so to speak. Or you could tell us where you hear any clicks, try tapping the starter with a screwdriver, check battery voltage...
Tapped the starter and tightened the cable on the starter. Batteries are fully charged.
check the battery relay, its under a cover near the engine, round thing with two main battery wires and two switch wires (a lot smaller). this relay has to be engaged by the ignition turning on to let battery power through the rest of the system, if you need it the part number was 1021-00910
Good day Linkers Start with the slow blow fuses in the battery box these look siilsr to small black box with a flip lid, if you have any questions drop a line to [email protected] Kind regards Uffex
The battery relay thumps when the key is turned. Will check the connection on the slow blow fuses, might have to clean and re-tighten the connections on the slow blow fuses, need to use a magnifying glass to see if the fuses are good. The starter works because we can jump start it using a stiff piece of wire. Thanks.
Good day Linkers Please see attachment
Do you jump it big terminal to small solenoid terminal, or big terminal to big terminal?
