Hi I have a Skyjack 3219 that the joystick broke on. I took a joystick from a skyjack 3220. All functions work but it only wants to drive and lift when driving at low speed. As soon as you move the joystick too far, it stops. Is there a difference in the joystick from a 3220 or could it be something else wrong? Please help!
Drives slow and lifts slow ?? Lift and drive are controlled by two separate relays and soleniods depending on the position of the lift/drive toggle switch. Voltage is applied based on reference to the stroke of the stick. There are numerous versions of joystick cards for sky jack. Did you just swap the joy stick ? Or the control box ? If you just swapped joy sticks do you know if you had proportional controls or a M/C on either or ?? If you swapped boxes from machine to machine and they plugged in then thats a mute point. Proportion and M/C boxes have different plugs. Im assuming it worked before swapping parts over ?? If it did check the part # and software # on the card. You might have a joy stick that plugs in because sky jack uses the same plug on just about everything but wrong card. What broke on yours ? As long as the stem is ok you can buy/ replace just the handle. Comes in kit with grip and switches. Or swap your grips from machine to machine. Grips are the same.
