Hey folks. I am completing a refurbish on my Ford 4500 tlb (motor rebuild, repair hydraulics) and am working on rebuilding the hoe bucket. I have been interested in a small dozer, perhaps JD 350-450 size and I think I can handle most engine, geartrain and hydraulic issues but I have no experience with tracked equipment and am pretty ignorant on this issue to the point of being reluctant to consider buying one without knowing how to assess the undercarriage. I was wondering it anyone had some tips on visual inspection and perhaps clues on condition while trying out machines. Thanks, Brad Buchanan
