18,000 horsepower and 480,000 lbs. of tractive effort employed by the time they get it moving again. Gives me new respect for snow. This is Kyle Railroad which runs from Belleville and Solomon, Kansas, to Limon, Colorado.
Cool videos. Some of the other ones in that group are cool too. We had a train hit a huge drift on our ranch where I grew up and derailed it into our field.
I am just shocked how quick it stopped those three locomotives
