Cracking pics ..
I thought the maintenance supervisor said "park it up at the side out of the way and we'll come and sort it!"
Really nice pics aussie. That's one big hole in the ground.
And a couple more.... No one was hurt on the photos of the Blast ute...and the rest speak for themselves....
Great set of pics!
Cool pic's a lot of explaining to the boss tho!
I am by no means an operator but was he trying to load it with the arm up in the air like that? Can you explain the story behind the flaming truck? Looks like you guys are moving a volcano!
Giday Independent, Yeah he didnt have the bucket where it should be, it should have been tucked in tighter to the cab but how hes got the bucket up in the air like that is the correct way to walk a large digger the reason behind this is to limit the weight distrubution closer to the track frame and not put stresses on the frame and track gear when walking....The truck photo was sent to me by a mate in the Coal mine where he works, the story goes is that the coal started burning and of course coal being coal likes to burn, so the only way was to either dig it out or let it burn itself out and they decided to dig it out thats the story behind that photo. Hope that clears things up a tad.....Cheers Mark
And a couple more....photos I know some of these photos aint of diggers and loaders n stuff but hey, they still heavy equipment....
Well, I guess the old GM F7 locomotive traveled all over the world.
A few more of old locos... These old girls have seen their day n they just run them out here n parked em up at a sort of muesum...and the last photo is what they are running today....G/E Dash 3s... The locos are used 3 at a time to haul 225 to 230 ore cars weighing 110 to 115 tons each the overall length of the train is 1.5 kms long and full noise travels at round 80kph on the mainline...

Hey Aussie, i am not sure if it was the goldfields expo..a mate took it who is from Kal.
Think your right from memory 15 & 16 were second hand from canada weren't they?
Couple i had on the computer, the broken truck is a 793 at Mt Whaleback mine - Newman WA a mate sent to me, and the 930, 797 & 793, 24H and the 3524 engine are all at goonyella
Great pics..love that chassis crack!
Great photos guy's! It is amazing how a frame of that size can fail like that
They were the ones that went into goonyella riverside, they had 9 in total..
Everyone loves seeing a little carnage..... Landcruiser sized rock vs headboard (Loaded by Shovel 2 which is no more, slightly charred now....), slight misjudgment of parking, and one that went back a little far.. Also Loader 4? The Westrac Rental one.... and one of loader one at work.... All from CVO....
and one more for good luck.... Heres one more a loader op ran into the back stop of the crusher with a full bucket halfway up n this is the result....
Cat Dr that was Truck 2 on its side..if i remember she had a person having their first ride in her truck that trip....
yeah that was another one the pic i was given, happened before i started! "Carnage And Destruction Is Alright!!!!"
Engine on the ground That old engine setting on the ground looks like a old Alco but I could be wrong
nice pics! thanks for sharing!
3524 Cat, two 3512's coupled together on a frame, current power plant for the 797 trucks until they get the 20 cyl "C175" engine into them
Here are some teasers I just know you guys will like the loader in the second pic. And talking of damage, who and what was responsible for #3???????
A lot of them photos we have similar in the office back home in the hunter at Mt arthor coal there mate i take it a few of them pics are from WA? surprised you dont have the one of the landcruser getting ran over by the 795
The engine he was talking about was the locomotive engine on the first page. And I agree, it definitely looks like an Alco 244.
