I need to split my ‘74 Case 580B. The shuttle lost one of its bearings. I have seen one or two threads about splitting the tractor and they both showed raising the FL and moving the engine forward. It appears I only need to split mine between the shuttle and the housing. Looking at it, it appears that if I dropped my Gannon, removed the sheet metal, blocked the loader arms up and removed th ROPS, I could move the rear section back instead. It seems a lot simpler than disconnecting all the hydraulics and moving the engine forward. So what am I missing, or not understanding about this task? Thanks, Walker
