Starting a new buisness

Well we went to the accountant the other day to find out the pros and cons of starting a new excavating buisness financially. The new co. will be a LLC and rent all of its equipment from our original company Wolfs Corner Construction to avoid high over heads such as insurance for a new company. We have three excavators ranging from 20k lbs to 7k lbs. and a skid steer. We move the two excavators and skid steer with our 650 dump truck which we hope to upgrade once the new buisness makes some money. My father has been invovled in home building and renovations since the 80's and knows alot of the in and outs of that buisness, we also bought our first excavator in 2000 and have been growing since. The reason for starting the new buisness is to hopefully expand under a non-related company. We feel that fellow homebuilders and contractors would be less likely to hire us as they may feel some competition or not want to put money in the competitors pockets i.e. Wolfs Corner Construction. To get to the point what would be the best way to get our target market (other contractors) to use us or to advertise and get our name out? Thanks -Eric
