Steering jcb

Hi. I have a 2015 535-140. Can't get steering to realign. Both sensors are magnetising when putting a piece of metal to them. Is there a way to test if either of these are faulty? I presume this is also the reason why I can't change steering mode to correct the alignment that way. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks

Try setting the rear steer tires straight. Then pull the fuse. That will only allow the front wheels to turn. Set those straight as well. Put fuse back in and test. The sensors do go bad..they also get dirty or require adjustment from time to time. You may just far out of sequence. Dont know why jcb does that but even the old style with the ball valve was a pain to get tracking to. Id give that a shot.

Both sensors need to be triggered to change steering modes. I've seen on other jcb where the sensor has a little light on the backside of the sensor to show its activated. They are just simple proximity switches. 3 wire I assume. Pos, neg, and trigger. You might be able to replace with a generic sensor if you know the voltage and whether it's a pos or neg output.

The diagram should be on the back of the cover.

Hi. Had a go at trying to find the fuse that controls the steering mode though had no joy. Any fuse I pulled out all four wheels kept steering. Any other help or suggestions?? Many thanks!!

Ok so to recap. No matter what mode your selecting via your 3 position switch your stuck in 4 wheel steer ? The default steering with out a coil being activated via the switch is front wheel steering. If you did not find a fuse try unplugging the steer selector switch and see if that stops the unit from 4 wheel steer. Realign the wheels and both sensors should lite up. If the sensors dont. Check the rear sensor and the pick up plate for the sensor. Make sure its not bent and is aligned with the sensor.
