Steering motor replacement on a 1979/80 Ford 555

Hi all, I'm new to this forum but not new to owning and repairing my 1970 Ford555 backhoe. My issue or question is removal of the steering wheel on this particular backhoe. . Unfortunately , I've already damaged the steering column shaft using a wheel l gear puller trying to remove this wheel. I'm currently trying to locate a replacement but it's becoming obvious that a lot of the older machines that have been parted out are now scrapped. Can anyone offer thoughts on removing the steering wheel and maybe a lead on a new steering column shaft? Thanks for listening. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Dave
