Switching to backhoe controls on 312E

Hi all, I've had an interesting problem trying to switch to backhoe controls (John Deere) on 2 cat machines, a 312e and 314e, both euro spec. Switching the l3, r1 and r3 ,l1 produces an odd pattern, something that's not cat controls or John Deere. Lines are switched at the valve under the cab floor, control valve side. I've done this many times on 308's-316's and never had a problem. It seems like there is something going on inside that valve. Has anyone run into this before?

Need to move to boom up and down from the right joystick to the left, and crowd to the right joystick from the left. Bucket curl and swing dont change.

Yes, those are the ones I've swapped. L3 and r1, r3 and l1. But on these two e model machines , after switching Hoses, the curl is affected too. Even though the curl circuit hoses were not moved.

Crowd in some how became bucket curl. After moving hoses. We even installed an aftermarket pattern changers valve, made no difference

Sorry for the long delay to update. A co worker ended up finishing it. We ended up installing a pattern changers and hoses from cat...less than $500 for everything surprisingly. According to the instructions, the standard r1-l3 and vice versa does not apply to some of the larger e series machines.

All the E series machines I've looked at had the pattern changer already in the machine. You had to shift patterns through the monitor panel.

    Instructions from who ?

My D and E 314s have pattern change done through the display monitor. My 314c has manual valve in floorboard.
