Can someone walk me through how to get the seat out to put a new one in. I've messed with it 2 nights. It can't be too tough but I'm not having any luck. TIA
Welcome to the Forums! Glad to have you. Had to take the seat out of our 321DL years ago to replace the A/C blower motor. It was a complete PITA. Post up serial number for the mechanics on the board and they may be able to provide you with a R&R proceedure. Best of Luck! BTW moving this over to the compact excavator forum.
Thanks for the reply. Yes it is a PITA, while we have out anyone have a seat they'd recommend. Be it stay with cat or is there a good aftermarket. The serial number is FYC01668. Thanks guys
Here's the procedure from the service manual. Seems pretty striaghtforward although the seat probably isn't the lightest. Seems as though you have the high-backed seat which is even heavier than standard. If you could find a company or individual local to you who does vehicle upholstery repairs then IMO your best bet would be to get the seat re-covered and have new foam put in it. When you ask the price of a replacement Cat seat be sure you are sitting down first...!
