    Yeah, Digger had to bail me out- turns out that I had to replace the word "Cat" with "Caterpillar" for some arcane reason. Even armed with that knowledge, it still took me a few tries to get it posted- a computer wizard I ain't:bash

    Testing so I can post a fault code 4 on my LS180. It wont start even in service mode. I fiddled with connections and checked fuses but no power to the starter. FC 4 is fuel siloniod but the service guy said that probably wasnt it (plus its over 300 bucks). thoughts. I will post this once my test messages go thru.

    I, too am testing. Another night shift in Borneo, trying to sort out a Hitachi EX1200 with a blown turbo... Nearest turbo is 6 hours drive away. Wondering if the turbo from a QSK45 will fit onto the QSK23... I've got a EX5500 down for a couple of days, with 2 45's in it. I wonder if one of them engines would like to donate an organ? Gotta love being in the jungle, at least it's not raining...

    You can ask a dumb question anywhere you like. In the lower right corner of each post, you'll see several options. To quote the post in question, so that others can click on your quote, and get linked back to the post in question, you just click on "reply with quote." That's what I just did for you post, and you'll see a little button just to the right of your name in the quote balloon. Click that, and it'll take you back to your post. It's not needed so much when there's only been a reply or two since the post you're quoting, but if there are many replies, or you're quoting something from a page or two back, it can save people some confusion. The other way is, when you've clicked on the "go advanced" button to compose your reply, to look at the row of icons just above the box you're typing in. The one that looks like a balloon is the "quote" button. Either click on it, and paste the text you want to quote in between the tags that appear, or highlight the text you want to quote, and then click on the button, and it'll put the quote tags around the text for you. I hope that helps.
