Actually, there's a screw like this in a lot of cylinders on my Case 580B. Does anyone know why these would be there? (To be more specific, it's the flat head screwed into the side) Just wondering if this is put there by factory, or maybe a reason the previous owner did this.:beatsme Thanks
so the packing wont back out...
it holds the head from backing off and blowing the head off the cylinder. so when you go to reseal the cylinders pull that screw before trying to unscrew the head off

-SCREW hex head, slotted, self-tapping, No. 8-32 NC x 3/8" Just in case you wanted to buy a replacement - some of my cylinders had self tapping wood screws in the heads!!
