Hi all, just wondering if any one has used the receiver that came with there laser as a machine mounted receiver Regards Simon
Yes plenty of times, you can buy a magnet for about any receiver and then stick it to any flat surface, we always drilled a hole in the corner of the magnet and ran a string through it, and then tied a safety string to the machine, just in case it would vibrate and the magnet would come off. It depends on what your going to be doing, its very hard on hand held receivers if there is a lot of vibration from the machine, but it does work as a look and see guide, no machine controls will hook to it. We used this setup for years on one of the trenchers to help determine grade and ran the controls manually, same thing for small grading jobs on dozers. If you plan on using it much at all, go buy a simple dedicated machine receiver and be done with it, that clamps onto a pole or post, you'll be a lot happier in the long run, not to mention they are easier to see and charge or hook a harness to the machine and no batteries are needed at all really.
Thank you for your reply Randy88 i truly appreciate it warm regards Simon
