Thunderbird TSY 255 swing bearing?

Scott S ยท 2012-05-02 17:25

We have to replace the swing bearing in our 255 and I was wondering if anyone has any idea of who the OEM supplier would be when they were being assembled? To get one from Modern Machinery we have a 20 week+ wait.... Ours is getting scary sloppy. Scott S

i believe it was when fiber had there dispatch.its sad cause each spring time you dont know who made it through the winter.we have been lucky to stay busy threw the winter with the big trucks the longer hauls with the extra board foot help with logger having load restrictions. they still kept there board foot average but less loads. i think it will be all in what the market will be.one day at time i guess you know another person i thought of was allen gibbons from sutherlin area they run almost all thunder bird equipment they also mite know.

you know come to think of it i think we did.i was down in nevada with our belly dumps for abite. sometimes the right foot dosent know what the left foot is doing. well i know it gets crazy in the summer with everyone busy but if you ever need any help keep me in mind. i know with the export wood we run about 6500 to 7000 bf aload. it figures out we pack about 2 3/4 trips aday verses a standard truck with 2 trips. its hard to keep up with all changing times in trucking but getting the most on making the fewest trips with the way the fuel is what its comming down too .

Avon bearings did some for me several years back and had a two week turn around from the day they received it, did a great job. I think they changed names to Kaydon Avon bearings. They may be able to help you.
