Tier 4i machines

Magnum · 2011-08-17 07:09

Have anyone tried or seen any other tier4i machines than the Volvos like the Cat K-series or new Komatsu´s?? I tested the new L250G at Volvo days and it was very impressive with a powerful and responsive engine like nothing else i´ve tried before! From what i´ve heard there are very few of the other manufacturers that so far managed to fulfill the Tier 4i/stage 3B regulations and therefore hasn´t been able to deliver machines that are compliant with the new regulations.

    We have 966K, 972K, D6T, 336E, all with T4i and should be soon getting a 140M2 with T4i

All the major manufacturers in this country have at least a few units out that meet Tier 4 Interim. It's not the power of the engine that anyone is concerned about. It is the cost of all the crap added on top to satisfy the leaf lickers. Hopefully it won't be too bad. Problem is that it all changes again in 2014 for off highway and nobody will say what will be legal and what won't.

How are they performing compared to the old H-series Cat? Yeah, I agree that in the end it is the poor guy´s who is buying the machines that has to pay the extra cost for that junk!!
