I have to question the report all the way through. First point is who is Yellow Table? Where are they getting their information from? The article does not state sources. How is it that Lieberr could be considered in the top five heavy equipment manufacturers based on crane sales? Why isn't Deere even mentioned especially since they account for a large percentage of Hitachi sales in the United States. All the grand statements are based on 2013 and this is December 2014. There is no actionable information in the article that means anything to anyone in any businesses that use heavy equipment. The article is nothing more than filler to pull in people for the marketing pages.

This is world wide. A lot of people think JD is number 1 in AG tractors but it's only true in N. America.

I thought JD was basically a Hitachi built in the Hitachi plant, with JD paint? in which case they will be under Hitachi sales, as they will sell them to JD for business purposes.

This is a typical thought by most but not true. Deere's 50/50 joint venture with hitachi in north america is simply more the Hitachi building Deere hoes. If not for Deere, Hitachi in North America would most likely be a whole lot slimmer. Its been a year or 2 since I saw a pole like this where Deere had 24 or 25% or the market with Komatsu right there. Of course cat was on top, but was sure about overall market share??
