My oLd Man Neighbor has bought a JD 310E 4wd that is Strong in 1st and 2nd Forward but slips in 3rd and 4th . In Reverse 1st-4th gears it pulls Strong ! I'm trying to help him and hopefully keep from dropping the transmission out from under it. I'm new to this forum and this is my first post . Any Help or Experience with this issue would be GreaTly Appreciated !! ..FYI ..Trans. Oil is clean as a whistle and smells unburnt
There are several versions of 310Es. Posting the serial # would help with the version you are looking at.
First step would be to change fluid in tranny and maybe drop pan if possible and clean out suction screen. Fill with proper fluid and see where your at.
