what do you think of that link
what in the world would you do with that????
Thats so you can do your planters on the 4th floor of a small apartment building :laugh I never seen something like that it must be for demolision work.
the scissor lift one is for working in water. theres a picture of a case one floating around and its in a pond with the house jacked up like that.
I see live rings by the counterweight are not for demo!!.But a 870 size machine for working in the water . minimax
here are a few more
Those pads are too narrow to be in the water
auh these might work a lil better
here is another goofy one
:beatsme but they sure do look neat
it must be for around water work somewhere....if u didnt notice the life ring attached to the deck railing lol
http://www.mantsinen.com/eng/?ID=1350 These guys designed the machine with the front mounted cab a couple of post up... Click on the 'products' button to see some great modified excavators on track, rail and rubber tire:cool2
more pics of it in action same link
and a few more
So It Does Go In The Water.....
Can you say RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRUST!! I can't imagine what that salt water is going to do to that machine. You would think that machine would need bigger pads. Still can figure out what this machine is good for.
That is by far one of the coolest trackhoes I have ever seen.
That really looks like the ultimate excavator. How long do you give the u/c on that?lol
Impressive piece of machinery! Wouldn't mind running it for a day.
With the raised machine there is one big drawback,in that you will loose your reach and digging depth when in the raised postion :usa
:beatsme Boom doesnt move, just the house does
Its so the operator doesn't get their feet wet or get away from the foreman :laugh As for rust I doubt those machines are used in salt water bodies man if they were they sure wouldn't last very long
I don't know of to many fresh bodies of water with light houses??? minimax
those hitachis with the huge tracks... those look like they're working way up north on a pipeline job... in canada or alaska i wonder? muskeg i guess?
Well maybe someone can translate for us. From the few words that resemble english in the thread by the original poster those pics are of it being tested and it's going somewhere in november. I'd imagine somewhere it tells you what they will use it for. Just need to read that jiberish. lol
From Babbelfish:
Yes it goes in to the water . The machine is from the company " De Nul " from belgium . This are my pics from a forum from Holland . The machine is now testing in Oostende - Belgium .
What kind of work does that machine do to justify that kind of modification. you'd have to run it 24 hours a day to keep in a profit margin
You would be surprised we ran my 1050 Deere in the Pacific for a month 16 hr. days and still got 6500 hrs. out of the undercarriage. Deere said it was rated for 7000 hrs. and it wasn't babied off that job neither.
I understand comments about corrosion in this thread but there are a number of excavators that work full time along our coast, in the water and on the beach. They are used for wharf and jetty maintenance as well as salvage work. They don't seem to do too badly for corrosion at all. I know the operators double check everything and the most important part is cleaning as soon as they come out of the water but these machines are not rust buckets.
awesome machine and photos
Functionality? Still wondering just what kind of job this would be good for? Otherwise, great pictures!
Welcome to HEF MonsterToys! :drinkup
Thank you. Glad to be here. You guys rock! :notworthy
That Is Cool
Certainly different....
The great lakes have tons of light houses, though I'm fairly certain that these pics were not taken there. Eric
I dont really know what it is used for but they are testing it in Oostende and in the same town there is the demolition of a pier with an EX 1200 and a zaxis 870 tripple from Abeko. As it is from "De Nul" I think it will be going to Dubai ore Quatar to build some new ilands
Thanks for the info dieselpower!
The machine is not going to Quatar or Dubai . It's going to work at the Seycellen islands
Well, it's hot, it's far away and we will probably never see it again in Belgium :beatsme
