Ok Got control valve body that attaches to the trans off and went thur any thing i could un screw allen head and removed lower control valve body from it ... nothing found ... and it still does the same forward only ...today i got couple hours to trouble shoot this. i made up a short hose to hook pressure line up to fwd side line and yes moves fwd ,, i removed that line and used rev line and it moves reverse.. so its not trans its mono pedal.... this is a rebuilt pedal from peidmont equipment ......i got the run around today about i had lines backwards etc and call back after i checked them bs ... still same thing i tell them ... last time i called well the guy that rebuilt it might have did it wrong ,,,,,,,, my god u think ........ Atco or anyone that can help me please pm me and ill give you my work cell number.. i need this headache running ...... the pivot pedal has a spool with a line cross line cut in it im guessssing this is flow path middle would be neutrtal . tilt right rev tilt left fwd...thats simple enuff... am i missing something
Seems like ya nailed it to me, can't get much more simple than that. All that monotrol pedal does is direct pressure line to either fwd or rev drive clutch pack control. For those who are curious about it, it doesn't provide a neutral, foot brake and parking brake is the neutral on those lifts. Did you get an entire monotrol pedal? Or did you just get a rebuilt pedal valve and have to install it on your pedal? It's been so long since I've worked on one of those pedals I can't remember how the pedal mechanism works. I only remember they have a distinct click detent when you step on left side of pedal or right side, switching drive direction. If I was to tag a wag at it, I would take a guess there's not a problem with the spool (or whatever it is) inside the pedal valve that diverts the pressure to either fwd or rev. It's a pretty simple valve. Most likely, you have a problem with whatever mechanism actually shifts the spool in the pedal valve, broken springs, detents, something like that. If you can't get any help from Peidmont, then I'd be tempted to tear into the thing and figure it out. If that's what you have to do, call them up and tell them your going to repair their #$&% valve, and if you find the problem, and get it fixed, then you're going to post the results on a world wide internet forum. :yup
Atco oh im fed up with them ... they want me to send it back ...or try this and this .. The company i work for paided for a full pedal assembly in working conidition .. only thing they had was used and rebuilt guess a 1965 model they nolonger make ... my thoughts are how many times that pedal was used since 1965 til now wow its got to be worn out too they clean it up nice thou .... i thinking on sending it back and tell them thanks no thanks recredit us on it and look for a 3 way hand control valve myself
Hey...not a bad idea! :drinkup
that way i can use old pedal for speed and hand shifter for fwd and rev and have neutral
Hmm, it would be hard to find a three way diverter valve that would give you a reverse. That would require a center position that doesn't send oil out of either outlet port. Not saying one is not out there, just an unusual configuration.
a wood splitter uses a similar valve
forward push and center neutral and rev back damn im wrong that 2 lines
i know enuff about hydralics to know im not great at it
joy sticks on a knuckle boom have a 4 way and neutral
Valves for cylinders, such as log splitter, use a three position 4 way valve. Center position sends oil back to tank on an open center configuration. You can't do that with your circuit, dump oil to tank that is. You would need a three position 3 way valve. I just don't know if such a thing is out there in hyd valves. Pneumatic, yes. Hydraulic, not sure.
yeah im pullin the last few hairs i have out on this one
4 Way divertors are used to divert the flow towards 2 different outlets. 3/8" Bsp ports. 4 Way. Max flow 35 l/min. Max pressure 250 bar. Cast iron body. Open centre. Low leakage. Closed available on request. Hardened spindle. Suitable for all hydraulic applications. Applications Connect P to the pressure flow, A and B to the circuit ports where the flow has to be diverted. With the lever in position 1, the flow is connected towards port A: with the lever in position 2, the flow is connected towards port B. With the lever in the central position, ports nP,A and B are all connected (open centre). wouldnt this work 100 psi would be split to 50 fwd and rev ... the monopedal kinda worked the same way with pedal in neutral position
Assuming that all the monotrol valve does is divert P inlet port to either an A or B outlet port, which it would almost have to do if it only had three lines, then I may have found the perfect control valve for what you need. Looks like you could mount it neatly with a bracket on steering column. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and view flow diagrams. Take a look at the 3 port diverter. http://www.hypro.co.uk/pdf/datasheets/ancillary/diverter/DV30d.pdf
