May look at at dump truck 2000’ Volvo w VE V12C 295K miles rated @345hp. Are these generally good engines/ trucks? Thanks
V12 or D12, never heard of a V12C. D12C was the first generation big bore electronic fuel injected engine for Volvo iirc. They're good engines, gobs of torque, depending on software. I'm seeing peek hp of 375 in an artic' hauler. I'm sure on highway could be higher. My bigger concern would be trans n axles unless you're buying as a glider.
Yea your correct D12 sorry Says like 294k original miles
Yeah, no emissions, i think. Someone else will have to speak up regarding the trans and axles. Truck shop or DMILLER should be able to shed some light on that. Good engine, known to weep a bit here and there just like the other big bores of the day.
Tenfo thanks as always!
Have a d12d 435 hp in a 06 dump truck. Not gonna pass anybody going up hills but seems to do alright on flat ground. Bought with sucked exhaust valve at 120,000 but fixed and seems to run good so far.
Thanks. This one is less hp i haven’t looked at it yet. Probably really weak lol
