Vermeer RT650 Engine Does Not Turn Off With Key

Since my previous post was met with a helpful reply. I figured id ask my next question in a new thread to help anyone else with the same issue down the road. Vermeer RT650 trencher with the duets diesel engine. The engine does not shut off with the key, all the electrical turns off, but the motor continues to run. I've narrowed it down to something being wrong with the fuel shut off solenoid, I removed it and the plunger was seized. When applying 12v the plunger would not extend. So I purchased a new solenoid, and when applying 12v power, the plunger extends outwards and when power is removed, it retracts. Installed the new solenoid into the injection pump, and it still does not turn off the engine. I took my test light and put it on the single white wire connector that goes to the solenoid, and at no time does the wire get 12v power. I traced the wire back to the relay block behind the dash. And found it is connected to the starter ignition signal. So when I am cranking the engine over, the solenoid is getting 12v power, and extending the plunger. And when I stop cranking the engine, it turns off the power and the plunger retracts. The relay block on the left is the one that is distributing the power to the fuel shut off. The purple wire is connected to the start signal from the ignition switch. The middle white wire is the wire that goes to the fuel shut off, and the left white wire is powered on with the key. I have no idea the function of this injection pump, to me it should be the solenoid extending would turn off the fuel with a delayed timer. So with the solenoid removed from the injection pump, I started the motor, it ran and started just fine. And with a screw driver I depressed the plunger in the pump and the motor continued to run. So either way, the solenoid would not turn the motor off. Hopefully someone can educate me on the proper function of this pump.

It might help to post what make engine is in it, the engine serial number, and a picture of the injection pump.

So I made a lot of extra work for myself for no reason, here I thought the fuel shut off was the solenoid that went into the side of the motor by the manual fuel shut off. I replaced that because it was not functioning. But turns out I was mistaken, the fuel shut off goes into the front of the motor. I had to remove the belt and the idler puller bracket to access the two bolts and hold the fuel shut off lever back to remove the solenoid. I powered the solenoid from a battery on the bench and it would spark when I connected the terminals. But the solenoid would not move, it didn't actuate. So $420 later, I bought a new fuel shut off solenoid from Bobcat, the nearest place that I knew had Deutz motor parts. And put it in, now the machine starts, with the key, turns off with the key, turns off with the controls on the backhoe seat as well. So incase anyone has the issues of the machine not turning off with the key, the solenoid by the throttle linkage, and the manual fuel shut off is not the proper fuel shut off. It's up to the right, and there's a two wire connector going to it.
