I didn't want to walk on Tones post so I thought I'd start another thread. These are local pics, no other info. Probably around 1931. First line in the area was gas welded into 80' sticks then Dresser coupled. The line is still in use.

That is so true. I worked on pipelines for two years in the early 1960's. I am amazed at how that industry advanced. Here is another example of the beginning of the industry. Check out the oil derricks in the background. Also how shallow that small diameter pipe is being laid.
