Axle oil temperature rising, what could be the problem?

Check to see if it has axel oil cooler pumps on the machine. There should be 2, one for the front axle and one for the rear axle. If the machine has axel oil coolers you’ll need to be sure the pumps are circulating oil.

Good call on checking the pumps. I'd also take a look at the oil cooler itself. Sometimes they just get plugged up with dirt and can't do their job. A good cleaning might be all it needs. Also, make sure your brakes aren't dragging, that can heat up the axles real quick. Good luck, hope it's an easy fix!

Front, rear or both. Have you checked oil levels? Are the propshafts aligned and secure? Any odd vibration? Without touching the brakes, machine in neutral and parking brake released, turn the steering lock to lock. Do the wheels freely rotate or do they scrub along the ground? Is your transmission oil getting hot also? Let us know so we can help you narrow the scope of your search.
