I need to change the engine oil in my new to me IHI 35N which has a 3 cylinder Isuzu engine. The lubrication chart says to use 10W30 oil. I am hesitant to use 10W30 because I am used to putting 15-40 diesel oil in diesel engines. Do they make a 10W30 diesel oil? Does anyone elses minis spec a 10-30 oil? What kind of oil is everyone using?
I use shell rotella 15/40 in the 4 cycle diesel engines,and shell 30 wieght in the detroit's.If your IHI is under warranty,I would go with lube chart specs.
