In both of these threads, you asked "what steps?". There are two kinds of people......those who live in a world of procedures and those who live in a world of reasons. Following procedures is for hired help who have others doing their thinking for them. If your mind is in that envelope, work for someone else. When you're in business for yourself everything has to have a reason.

Can we ask how old you are? I think it will help us understand you a little better. It's good to have a career path you want to follow but always have a plan B and a plan C. Keep your options open. You need to work for someone else to get experience and then you might find trucking isn't for you. I know some guys that drove truck for a living and now have trouble walking and a bunch of aches and pains just from getting in and out of the trucks. Wanting to drive a truck is one thing and running a business is another thing. Running a business by yourself is a lot of work. Who's going to answer the phone while your on a job is just one the things you have to deal with. Making time for maintenance and repairs is another. Lots of things to consider when thinking of running your own business.

Retired from car hauling, big rig, from factory to the dealer, teamster. Don't know your history, but you need to become a trucker first. You have a cdl lis. Need to get some miles in the seat, dealing with cargo , chaining it down etc.
