What would you pick?

hey guys what do you think is a better engine a perkins or Cummins? we are looking into it with our loaders we can run both but we are wanting to offer mainly one choice we can get both in Tier 4 price is around the same but do you think the cummins back up is better then perkins? want to hear your thoughts. size machines bear in mind are from a 908cat to a 966cat size loaders.

    Flip a coin. Otherwise, isn't this the kind of thing that companies hire consultants to figure out for them?

    we have good luck with both but I would take the cummins if I had too choose one

    I like the ease of parts and service of the cummins but haven't had any dealings with Perkins since they became a Caterpillar company.

    Who is a better group of consultants than the end user? I vote cummins.

    Thanks Ben46a that is what i was thinking forget the corp guys get the real info get the end users thy are the ones working on them and buying them.

    The mechanics who fix them after the end user breaks them for starters....and anybody who knows which cummins is being compared against which perkins and can explain the differences between their respective model-specific tier 4 emissions systems and how one motor might outperform the other based on the application. But, since the real question at hand is "Which motor is more popular as a selling point?", we're a perfectly good focus group for this popularity vote..... However, consultants we are not.
