I am in the market for either a Hitachi 290-5, Cat 329EL or a Komatsu 290- 10 just wanted opinions on which machine you like the best and what there strong points are. Be used in oilfield construction. Thanks!

Look at your short list and investigate the quality and depth of service, technical, & parts support in your area. The best machine on paper can easily turn out to be the worst if you don't have a good dealer close by.
This is true, I do have a Komatsu, Cat and, hitachi dealer all within about 15 minutes of each other what's your guys expirence with these companies
The issue is not the machinery manufacturer the dealer represents, it's the particular branch that will be serving you. Service is all about people and if a particular branch doesn't have the right people it will have a bunch of dissatisfied customers.
Yeah you bet have you had the chance to run any of these machines ?
In Alberta I think there is good dealer support for all of them.
