Who sells more equipment, dollar wise, CaseNH or John Deere?
I should have specified construction equipment.
I would imagine John Deere, they have a pretty big line of equipment and actually sell it. CNH has a nice little ine of equipment, but how often do you see a NH Excavator.... or even a Case machine for that matter. And if you want to be fair... why not group John Deere and Hitachi if you are grouping CNH.
Well, Deere & Hitachi are not owned by the same company like Case and New Holland. Your probably right since forestry is lumped in with construction also.
True but they are building eachothers equipment.
according to each of their 08 annual reports... 08 Deere net sales of CE equipment = $4.818B 08 CNH net sales of CE equipment = $4.464B Surprisingly close. One thing one must keep in mind...CNH sells world wide while a huge portion of Deere's sales are in North America only.
Isn't Fiat and Hitachi connected too? Thanks, Do you know where to find those kind of numbers for their farm equipment also.
Everything can be found in each of their annual reports. This is public info and can be found here for Deere and here for CNH. 08 Net sales for Deere Ag equipment = $16.572B Total 08 net sales for Deere...all equipment and financial operations = $28.438B 08 Net sale for CNH Ag equipment = $12.902B Total 08 net sales for CNH...all equipment and financial operations = $18.476B
At the price that john deere charge for stuff it easy to get that type of turnover....., I have never seen any deere equipment on a site here apart from a tractor, but there is a lot of CNH stuff out there.
Thanks :drinkup
Where does Cat or Komatsu fall into this? Its always kinda been my thought that farm equipment is green (John Deere), haying equipment is red (New Holand), and construction equipment is yellow. (Cat, with a goofy Komatsu threw in every once in a while!) Jason
Does Cat make a decent machine?
Any input about the Challenger Tractors?
I refuse to get into pissin match with you about equipment. It aint healty, for me or you. We all will be beating our heads aginst a wall if this goes on!!:Banghead Jason

JTL your right about hay equipment being red, excpect it is, or atleast was, Hesston.
