i'm an inquisitive sort of guy and i was wondering would u guys use these things i've found in my wild adventures of the web i am aware that they are from around the world but is the implement worth it to an operator (i'm an apprentice mechanic) 4 in 1 mud bucket http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C3T-HbOWnEo tree harvester http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2-3IgL4zCCU feel free to add more weird wacky and wonderful implements that you have found or used
the mud bucket as you call it is normally fitted to a lorry/truck working with a gas/water company who clears up after work has been completed. In the UK we call this device a grab. When the truck is full it is then taken elsewhere for reuse or landfill.
I can see the 4 in 1 bucket as something that could be useful but would never consider the feller on a compact hoe. Our trees here are just too big for a hoe that size. There are a few guys in the area raising pulp wood that those would work well for. Rick
the feller is excellent for thinning out a young forest with small trees. Normally this is done by hand in my country as using a harvester is overkill (and will destroy the forest). A miniEx equipped with this and a small ATV log trailer would be an ideal combination, which I dream about every winter
Welcome to the Forums permaculturist!:drinkup The 4n1 would be handier than a shirt pocket on a mini. I don't know much about forestry and the economics of it but to me it seems that the small processor wouldn't be productive enough to pay for itself.
