ZX225USLC-3 hydraulic issues

HEAVY-TECH · 2025-03-09 18:37

Hi Guys, I have a ZX225USLC-3 at the shop and i'm having issues with the hydraulic system. When we are using the arm in, the boom w'ont lift at all. Has soon the arm completely in the boom start moving up. the left track is stronger then the right track The excavator came in for a slow hydraulic problem and when it arrived the sound of the engine was so bad. the injectors where complety done. so we tought that maybe the engine was lacking of Hp. now the new injectors are in but the hydraulic problem remain. i disconnected the selenoids on P2 and nothing change seams like the p1 and p2 don't want to combine or something like that.

”When we are using the arm in, the boom w'ont lift at all. Has soon the arm completely in the boom start moving up,the left track is stronger then the right track “ Welcome to HEF HEAVY-TECH . Whats the P1 and P2 control pressures when this is happening ?

    Hey Dave, 4500 p2 3000 p1

Those look like pump output pressures. I was asking what the P1and P2 control pressures are.

Sorry haha. 450/500 psi on both

Hi, dave i return to the machine and the p1 and p2 control pressure is always at 4 Mpa

i browse around the forum alot and it seems that alot of guys ad the same issue or similar and alot of them talked about the DP sensor. i have acces to the parts manual of the machine but hitachi doesn't refer anything to that sensor i looked around on the machine but nothing look like the dp sensor i can find on the web.

Control pressures are good. . The DP sensor is not used on ZX225-3. Cycle time the left track, right track ,bucket and swing will give an indication of individual pump performance. Screenshot with cycle times below.

It sounds like a hydraulic flow imbalance between P1 and P2. Check the main relief valves, pump regulators, and pilot pressure. Also, inspect the spool valves for sticking or blockage. Have you tested system pressures to compare P1 and P2 performance?

Hi, Every functions are slower then the specs, but one thing i'm confuse is that in service mode readout, p1 flow is 212L and p2 212L at max flow and the maximum pressure is set to 35mpa but its still slow, the flow of p1 and p2 combined when booming up is 156L on both.

The display only shows the pump's target flow. It does not show the pump's actual flow. This means that the actual flow of the pump may not meet the controller's requirements. I recommend you try adjusting the regulator and measuring the actual flow of the pump as in the attached file.
