ECM light came on and it will not go into 2nd or third range. I can control speed within 1st but not any higher. A mechanic said somthin about calibration? Any ideas, has this happened to anyone? Runs good in low no buzzers. the small seat manuel says when this light comes on to refer to "troubleshooting RENR5539 track type tractors hydrostatic transmission electronic system"- also RENR5544 My manuels have not yet come in so I cant look these up. Help Wscott
If your in need of your machine ,it would be quicker to have the Cat tec come and connect his computer to check your codes. Might just need calibrated which sometimes they can do with the computer,or bad sensor.I had a bad sensor and only took my tec a few minutes to find it.Sometimes it is faster and cheaper to leave it to the man with the right equipment.Good luck!:usa
You can Determine Fault code's without ET on some D3G's. You need to Locate the Harness code connector. Check your PM Box.
thanks everyone Cat came out and hooked up computer no communication with the sensor?? Must be bad, he brought one with took off floor plates and getting the sensor off saw that something had eaten two of the three wires in half coming from sensor. fixed them code turned off and everything checked out fine. $250 just to have two wires spliced together. :Banghead:Banghead:Banghead ointhead
