We purchased a 1088 used & heve had to replace the hydraulic fluid & filters (3). Since then, we have not been able to get the bucket to operate. We are mystified! My husband is a mechanic, so no dummy to this stuff, & his friend is an operator with experience in repairs, but e erything they've tried has still not freed her bucket. Can anyone tell us what we're missing?:Banghead
Did it work before changing the oil and filters?, and when you say bucket, is it just the bucket or stick and boom also?. If it is the bucket only does it not want to curl in or curl out ?. Does the swing and travel work ?.
It DID work before we changed fluid & filters! That's what stumps us. The boom does not want to lift up, nor will the bucket operate, but it will swing the bucket & boom side to side. It won't retract the bucket arm, or let it reach out, nor will the bucket move in any way. It starts, runs, tracks move, cab rotates...everything but the boom & bucket. TT a friend this morning who said air locked & he recommended taking lines loose on the boom to bleed air, & checking solenoid? Accept my apology for my ignorance on these things, I may be using all the wrong terminology. I'm just trying to help my husband figure it out before he does something rash...like scrap it! We have too much tied up in it for it to be a yard ornament. Thanks for your assistance.
