How in the frig do I get the control cables off the transmission in an 82ish 140G?
You have to take 2 bolts out of a plate that holds the 2 cable sleeves into the trans. When you pulls the sleeves out of the trans far enough they will unhook from the spool eyes. Then take the 5/8 jam nuts off at the sleeve and slide the cable thru it.
Ahh okay makes sense now, had the plate pulled back and the sleeves wiggling, but was unsure and didnt want to break anything. Thank you!
The sleeves have orings on and may pull out kinda hard.
