Pulled the trans replaced park brake frictions, did nothing else to trans, reinstalled & now only have 3rd & 7th. Both gears work fine fwd & rev, all other gears the trans binds up and tries to stall engine. Any idea's?
Sounds like #4 clutch is permanently engaged or something is jammed. That's the common clutch for 3rd & 7th speed. If it will not release then whenever you try to engage a gear other than 3rd and 7th the engine stalls.
