1818 case auction say transmition problem

hj folks, i am looking at a skid steer at rbaution a 1818 case 1988 but they say transmition problem so wath do you think drive motor or pump dead ? and how difficult it is to fix it ? i did the clutch pack it the power shuttle on my 580k p1 backhoe without to mutch problem so fixing that skid steer how harder can it be ?? and they are rebuild kit for those drive motor ? thanks

    I would lean more toward pump problems with a statement like that. Pumps can cost up around 3k to have rebuilt, not cheap fixes.

    Thanks well if i can get it cheep it might still worth the work i can have a new pump for it for 1100$ so i might give It a try at the auction yard

    I hardly ever buy something that actually works, buy 'em cheap and fix 'em up!
