i just joined. my father and i had a early 90s case 1845c skid steer. well he was cutting a large tank for scrap and did not notice the wind blow some sparks down and into the machine. long story short when i got there there was tears in my dads eyes and the fire dept was just leaving. we have been looking but can not find anything around central il worth the money. does anyone know were to find one that may need a motor since ours is still good. thanks for the help.
I have one at work that is in fair shape but the motor has a knock in it. Sounds like numer 3-4 rod bearing but we havent opened it up as they what to sell it as is. I think they are asking around $5000.00 for it. It does not have a bucket either. It is an older machine with the dual lapbars and the old style drive motors with the planeties.
where is it located. is there a number i can call and ask about it. i have fount one out of state that looks to be in good shape with the head off for 4500 but its 986 miles away.

well i have had found 2 machines with a knock and the one with the motor apart. they were far away and my dad did not want to buy one so far away. wel i screwed up i should have bought the one in denver off of craigslist. it was a older machine with lapbars but it looked great. i had it bought for 4500 but did not pull the trigger because of the 986 miles to get it here. my dad has replaced the 1845c with a 98 90xt. he absolutly hates it. he bought it off of a komusuto dealer. he wants his 1845c back. i will keep looking there will be more pop up that need a motor or drive pumps. i just hope they are a little closer.
