I just purchased a 1950's 60's cat dozer d6b dozer SL#44A7. I'm look to find the exact year and what type of oil to use. Any advice would be great. Motor oil? Gear Oil, Trans Oil, Hydraulic oil. What should I be using to keep this machine healthy? Thanks in advance for all your help, first time dozer/heavy equipment owner for personal use. James.
According to my information production of the 44A prefix D6B started in 1957 so with your tractor being #7 off the line it must be that same year.
